Session Log - Trasfrontera Japan, taiko drums, Kaoru Watanabe and Anna Sato

On a recent trip to Japan, I had the opportunity to record six highly talented Japanese artists as part of the Trasfrontera series of live in-studio concert recordings commissioned by Claudia Curiel at The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). I covered the Trasfrontera sessions at Abbey Road in the March 2022 issue. In May 2022, we looked at the Trasfrontera sessions at Estudios Audiovisión in Bogotá, where I highlighted some of the most unique instruments I have ever recorded.
