Inside the Studio - The Sound of Chicago

Let’s face it, not many rock bands endure. The lucky ones (beyond the one-hit-wonders) have a couple of hits, last about a decade, and then break up. Sometimes they reunite decades later for the popular “greatest hits” tour, and sometimes those bands don’t even have any original members! (I’m still not sure how that even works).

Chicago (originally Chicago Transit Authority) was formed in 1967. The band has released 37 albums and sold more than 100 million records. They didn’t take a break. They didn’t sell the name. They’ve just kept on keeping on. Today, they’re still recording and still selling out venues eight to nine months out of the year.
