When it comes to workflow in the studio, my biggest concern as the engineer, producer or studio owner is not to waste a musician’s or the artist’s time. When musicians have to wait for something to be set up or fixed, or for decisions to be made, they lose energy and enthusiasm, which, of course, affects the recording. Here are some things I’ve learned that help to avoid that kind of downtime.
