Reconstructing Iconic Records

Over my 30-year career in the U.K. music industry, from cutting my teeth at studios like Townhouse and Olympic to engineering for Oasis and producing for singer-songwriter Paul Weller, I've always been guided by the soul of a song. When I first stepped into Dolby Atmos mixing, it gave me a new canvas: one where the listener is no longer just in front of the speakers, but inside the music itself.

Today, I run Music Immersive, a dedicated Dolby Atmos music studio based out of Tileyard in London. Since opening our doors in 2022, we've focused solely on immersive music, which has allowed us to refine and deepen our approach to spatial audio. With Atmos, we're not just remixing, we're rethinking how records are built from the ground up, and this brings creative challenges that are both thrilling and humbling, especially when working with legacy material.
