A day in the head of STILL WOOZY: Making modern pop and beyond
Still Woozy is the musical nom de plume of Sven Eric Gamsky, whose music can be summed up as smooth, soulful, lo-fi, danceable, psychedelic, groovy pop music. Sven leans into a blend of influences that include Robert Johnson, Beatles, Elliot Smith, D’Angelo and hip-hop. He majored in classical guitar with an electronic music minor, taught guitar and then formed the math rock band Feed Me Jack. All these experiences melt together in a smooth, evocative and slightly irreverent way on Eric's debut album, If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is (Interscope).
Sven worked with producer and engineer Lars Stalfors (Cold War Kids, Foster The People, St. Vincent, The Mars Volta) to bring the first full-length Still Woozy
release to life.
