A year ago, in our October 2022 issue, I wrote about my ever-growing collection of ribbon microphones.

As I dive further into this rabbit hole, I continue to learn more about the history of these mics, the differences in construction, design, materials and features of all the various brands and models, along with the possible applications.

So this is a perfect time to bring you a second (and possibly continuing) installment on my passion for ribbon mics.
