RECORDING Techniques – Pianos, EPs and B-3s, Oh My!

While we are living in a golden era of digital keyboards, sample libraries and virtual instruments offering perfectly sculpted keyboard sounds at the click of a mouse or the touch of a button, one could argue that nothing replaces the opportunity to capture a real acoustic piano, an electric piano or a Hammond organ. Here are some of my favorite ways and techniques to record these classic instruments.
