RECORDING Techniques – Background Vocals

I have been lucky to work with some great background singers over the years, and I enjoy the creativity they bring to a session and a song. There is no single right way to sing or record background vocals—often the approach that worked this time might not work as well the next. What I can share are the lessons I have learned over more than 30 years in studios, which have consistently helped me capture better background vocal performances.
