RECORDING Field Notes – Plugins and Such
Enough!
“Yes, but I have something they’ll never have—enough.”
Joseph Heller (in the novel “Catch-22,” 1961 Simon & Schuster) famously responds to Kurt Vonnegut at a party hosted by a hedge fund billionaire.
This month, I’m talking plugins, whether or not you have enough, what to do if you don’t, and things to try when you feel you may have too many! Remember, whether you think you don’t have enough plugins or you have too many—you’re right! The idea is to adjust your thinking, not your plugin folder…ok, maybe also adjust your plugin folder; more on that later.
Where exactly do we draw the line between not enough and too much? Is it even possible to ever have enough plugins? Not only is it possible, but it’s quite likely you already do. It all depends on how you define the term.
