With all this talk about mics and mic lockers, it’s easy to forget all the other stuff that goes hand-in-hand to help the mics do their best work—we’ve got to plug them in, right? There’s nothing more deflating than to save up for that holy grail microphone that you’ve had your eye on for years, only to get it into your studio to find that you don’t have a mic stand that will hold it without tipping over, or your XLR cables aren’t long enough.
