The two most common mixing tools are EQ and compression, so for this month’s mixing issue, I will focus on inside-the-box EQ, and next month we will look at compressors. These days, EQ plugins range from popular emulations of classic analog fare, to boundary pushing EQs with digital-only features and artificial intelligence-fueled extras.
