Guitar Production with Pete Anderson
Discussions with Pete Anderson, Dusty Wakeman and Tony Rambo
Pete Anderson is one of the seminal figures in the worlds of roots music and Americana. Pete came to prominence as the lead guitarist and producer of Dwight Yoakam’s 1986 breakout album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc.—most notably the hit singles “Honky Tonk Man” and “Guitars, Cadillacs.” Thus began a journey that made Pete a multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY Award-winning producer and guitarist who has worked with artists from Roy Orbison and k.d. lang to Michelle Shocked, Tanya Tucker, the Meat Puppets and dozens of others.
Recently I sat down with Pete and two of his long-time engineers, Dusty Wakeman (also the President of Mojave Audio) and Tony Rambo.
