Creative Drum Tuning and Treatments for the Studio

I’ve been drumming for more than fifteen years, and I’m also an audio engineer. Recording drums is a massive part of my life. While many drummers and engineers dread it, I think that tuning a drum can be every bit as fun as playing one. With that in mind, I want to share my approach to tuning and treating drums for studio recording. Note: this is not a basic drum tuning tutorial; rather, these are my tips and tweaks to make better drum recordings.
