In three different roundups published over the last year or so, we pressed microphone manufacturers to pull one mic from their lockers, one and only one, to serve as single, solitary, desert island selections for singer-songwriters, drum recordists, and guitar cab recordists. This month’s DAW-heavy issue turns our attention in the here and now to software, so we issued the following query to a hot panel of plugin makers: Which single effects processing plugin from your product line would you most recommend to the DAW user?
